Xenoblade Chronicles and Tokyo Mirage Sessions Getting Remastered for Switch
Among many great announcements and some meh (Pokémon- Curry on Rice?), Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles, and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE will be coming to the Nintendo Switch and getting the remaster treatment.
Xenoblade Chronicles was a role-playing game released for the Nintendo Wii. It gained attention because it was part of the Operation Rainfal compaign which was a fan compaign to bring it, The Last Story and Pandora’s Tower to North America, and because of it’s heritage with the accalimed Xeno-series of games. It was a great open world action RPG for its time with massive environments and was eventually ported to the New Nintendo 3DS.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE is a role playing game resulting from a crossover of Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei and Nintendo’s Fire Emblem. It plays similarly to the Persona series with Fire Emblem characters taking the place of the demons. It was different in tone compared to its parent series but a great time regardless.
These are amazing games, and it is great that they will get a new lease on life on the Nintendo Switch. Tokyo Mirage Sessions especially will benefit given the Wii U’s limited audience.
Are you looking forward to playing these amazing RPGs (again?)?
